Theresa Osborne is a journalist who works for the Chicago Tribune newspaper. Once, when she was vacationing on the coast, she managed to find a real message in a bottle in the sand. When a girl opens a bottle and reads what's inside, she learns about a hidden love message. Now she wants, by all means, to find the sender to meet him. Although at first it seems like a fantastic idea, soon she manages to find this man and it turns out to be Garrett Blake.<br />
This is a single man who lives in North Carolina, just near her father's place of residence. He owns his own boat and just a few years ago was happily married to his beloved Catherine. But when she died, he began to feel lonely. When Teresa finds Garrett, she gets to know him, but is in no hurry to immediately tell him that she found the message in the bottle. She wants to get to know this man better.<br />
But despite the emerging feelings between them, there are two serious problems that hinder them. The first is the distance that separates two people.
